Survival is defined as active, expedient actions, aimed at preservation of life, health and working capacity of an organism under the influence of adverse environmental factors at the site of an emergency landing. The prime tasks of survival training are: to psychologically train cosmonauts for actions in case of their possible stay outside the regular landing site within 2-3 days after an emergency landing under extreme influence of different environment, climate and weather; to acquire practical skills on maintaining their working capacity and life-saving in case of their independent stay under complex physical-geographical conditions, with taking rational use of the descent capsule’s equipment, portable survival kit, standard outfit, improvised means of terrain; to master interaction of cosmonauts with the Search and rescue complex means.
